Product Requests Page

An overview of the Products Requests page in the web app of Creative Force.

Written by Viviana

In Creative Force, Product Requests are a collection of productions related to a product record. Product Requests have related Samples and are contained within a Job. Ultimately, Product Requests can be thought of as a specific instance of when a specific product record needs to be shot.

Article Overview

The Product Requests Page is a hub where you can get data and apply actions related to your studio's Product Requests. To access the Product Requests Page, go to Productions along the top navigation bar → then, select Product Requests.

Filter & Search View

There are two main views you can use to navigate the Product Requests page, and you are able to switch between them via an icon near the top of the page.

View

Function

Filter View

The Filter View is often considered the default view and has a similar layout to the Production Page. This view is better for sorting, displaying, and comparing large numbers of Product Requests.

Search View

The search view lacks some of the flexibility of information that is displayed, but it can be easier to navigate and more powerful when looking to narrow down more specific subsets of Product Requests.

Column Display

In the Filter View, you can change the order of columns and enable or disable columns for specific properties.

Display Settings

Select the Display Settings Icon to control the thumbnail size for Display Images.

Freetext Search

Use the Freetext Search box to type in specific values and search for matching results. For more information on Freetext Search logic, see our article here.

Filter Search

The filter icon can be selected to browse and then apply filters related to various properties. Multiple properties can be applied at once for very specific searches.

When browsing properties, a list of values for that property will be shown for easy selection– this list only shows a set number of values before it stops. Begin typing to narrow down the list of suggestions.

Some property filters also allow the application of conditional language to the search. eg, 'contains' or 'does not contain' "X."

For properties like Product Code, you can also select an option to paste a list of values from a CSV. This allows you to easily apply large value sets to your search.

Product Request Panel

After applying any relevant filters and generating the desired results, you can browse the list of matches and select them to bring up the Product Request Panel.

Once selected, the slide-in panel will present information relevant to the selected request via a set of tabs.
