Outfits in Creative Force enable "Shop The Look" functionality by allowing you to create styling sets that group multiple products together as they appear on set. With integration in our Planning module, Gamma, Kelvin, and Chroma, you can track your Outfits from initial Session Planning all the way through embedding outfit properties as metadata during Asset Delivery.
Overview
An Outfit consists of one Primary Product and one or more Secondary Products. Once the items have been associated together as an Outfit, Creative Force creates an Outfit Code that can be tracked throughout production.
It is possible to create outfits in multiple places throughout Creative Force: Gamma, Kelvin, and Chroma.
Styling Tab
You can create Outfits via the Product slide-in on the Production page, Products page, or Sample page. Click a Product or Sample, then choose the Styling tab in the slide-in and select Add Outfit.
Once your Outfit has been created, it can be viewed and further edited within the Styling Tab as well.
Select the Eye Icon to view the associated Outfit Display Image in full-screen.
Use the 3-dot menu to further edit, delete, or duplicate the Outfit.
π£οΈ Tip: When duplicating an Outfit, you can choose which Production Type of the Primary Product to create the duplicated Outfit for.
Outfit Components
Primary Product
In the pop-up menu, your selected product will be used as the Primary Product for the Outfit (noted by the flag icon).
An example of how that might look is when the Primary item is scanned to be shot on set, the outfit components can be reviewed to know how to build the styling items around it.
Secondary Products
Secondary Products are considered supplementary items for the outfit. These would be the items gathered by the team to support the main product when it is shot on set.
In the Outfit Menu, secondary items can be scanned by barcode on a label, or the codes can be entered manually to add them to the Outfit.
Select the vertical dots icon to drag and rearrange the order of the secondary items. Or, hit Remove to delete it from the Outfit entirely.
Properties
Select 'Show All' under the Properties section to see all available Outfit Properties and their respective values. If new properties are necessary, you can create custom properties of the Outfit-type under Studio Settings β Properties. Learn more.
Select the pencil icon for an additional menu where further property-specific actions can be taken.
Option | Function |
Outfit Code | Enter a custom Outfit Code to be used, rather than the system-generated code. This code will allow the outfit to be tracked throughout the system. |
Outfit Name | Add an outfit name |
Properties | See a full list of available properties and edit their values respectively. |
Outfit Display Image
From the 3-dot menu next to the Outfit Code, you can opt to add an Outfit Display image. This image can be seen throughout different screens in Creative Force.
Outfit Display Images can also be seen as components when printing Outfit Sheets.
Outfit Sheets
Outfit Sheets are printable sheets that can display all of your related outfit data in a convenient, shareable layout.
Outfit Sheets can be triggered to print in various places in Creative Force, including:
Application/Screen | Trigger Location |
Planning β Session Card | The action menu on a Session Card includes "Print Outfit Sheets." This gathers all outfits from the session's production items and sends them to print. |
Planning β Production Tab β Bulk Select + Action | Inside a Session's Production tab, you can select multiple production items and use the "Print Outfit Sheets" bulk action to print outfit sheets for just the selected items. |
Create/Edit Outfit Menu | Inside the modal where you create or edit an outfit, the action button menu includes "Print Outfit Sheets" for the outfit you're currently working on. |
Product Slide-In β Styling Tab | When viewing a product's outfits in the sidebar, you can select "Print Outfit Sheets" from the outfit's action menu. This prints a single outfit. |
Job Details Page | In the action menu at the top of a Job's detail view, there's a "Print Outfit Sheets" option. This prints all outfits associated with that Job. |
Import Outfits by File
Besides manual creation via the Outfit menu, you can also create Outfits by importing data from a sheet.
β οΈ Important: Pre-defined Outfits can only be brought into the system at the time of import; you cannot create Outfits via 'Add Products' in the Job screen.
When preparing to import Outfit Data via a file, you must have the minimum required information in your file, which includes: Primary Product, Secondary Products, and Outfit Code.
Data Mapping
Then, make sure to map those columns from your file to the relevant Data Property in Creative Force.
Data | Property to Map |
Primary Product | Product Code (Main Product) |
Secondary Products | Product Code (Outfit Product) |
Outfit Code | Outfit Code |
Outfit Product Role | Product Role (Outfit Product) |
Outfit Product Role
An additional Outfit Product role can be mapped with the data on your sheet. The available values for this property are:
Mandatory: means that it is not allowed to be removed from the outfit.
Replaceable: means that it is allowed to be removed from the outfit, so you can edit the outfit at a later stage.
Example Data
Here is an example of how your sheet could look:
Notes
The products that are mapped to the Outfit Product Property that have not existed in the system before will be imported as styling items, which means these items will not have any production data. Learn more.
βIf an Outfit Product Role is not mapped during import, it will default to being Mandatory and can not be removed from the outfit after import.
