For studio staff, real-time updated production progress means more than just percentages and numbers, it also means asset visualization. You can access all of your team's completed assets by accessing Gamma:

This article will guide you through the logic of how Creative Force displays images through different areas of Gamma.

All of the images that are available in Creative Force and linked to products, samples, outfits, or styling items are included in the display image pool. The Display Image pool is displayed within the overview tab in the slide-in throughout Gamma.

Production Display Image

On the Production view, you will see a column where the Production Display Image is showing. This is the image for the work unit or production type that your team has been working on. Work units that are in Backlog or To Do will not have a Production Display Image available.

From this column, you can adjust the thumbnail sizes and view the image in full screen by clicking on it in the slide-in.

Please note, the Production Display Image cannot be updated via the UI. The first image of the hero position (if available) or the first position in the Style Guide will be selected automatically once the Final Selection is done.

Product Display Image

Below is the priority logic on how CF digests and displays the image to the Product Display Image pool. Priority 0 is the lowest and Priority 6 is the highest.

Priority 0

File imported via the 'Product Display Image' property

Priority 0

File uploaded by the user in Gamma

Priority 1

File comes from VPI Production Images

Priority 2

File comes from Capture integrations (Orbitvu, Looklet) Production Images

Priority 3

End of Photography Step: Model Production Images

Priority 4

Last Step of workflow: Model Production Images

Priority 5

End Photography Step: Still life Production Images

Priority 6

Last step of workflow: Still life Production Images

By default, CF will scan through the Display Image pool from the highest priority to the lowest priority and select an image to be used as the Product Display Image based on the priority logic. However, if a user manually selects an image to use as the Product Display Image, it will overwrite the default logic.

Note:

  • If the display image is selected manually, at any of the above priorities, we will only add more images to the display image pool.

  • If the display image is taken from Priority 6 and there is no manual action, we will only add more images to the display image pool.

Regarding the priority logic, if there is more than one image of the same priority:

  • Priority 0: We will use the latest imported image

  • Priority 1+:

    • We will take the first main image from the Style Guide position with the priority of the Hero position and then the first position.

    • If the Photography step is finished, but Final Selection has not started, the first main image created based on the created date time, will be selected.

If the current Product Display Image is removed, we will follow the default logic to select another Product Display Image. If all the images in the Product Display Image pool are removed, we will remove the current Product Display Image.

Priority 0 - Imported via the 'Product Display Image' property

  • When a job is imported where an image URL is mapped to the 'Product Display Image' property, we will import this image to the display image pool. Learn more about importing Image URL here.

  • If the URL is updated on a product we will add the new image to the display image pool, keeping the previous imported images. You can either update the property manually or via a data source update.

Priority 0 - Uploaded by the user in Gamma

You can manually upload an image here.

Note:

  • Images that are imported with Priority 0 will not be removed if the product is reset.

Priority 1 - 6

  • When a work unit finishes the Photography step, the images will be added to the display image pool.

  • When a production type finishes the last step of the workflow, the images are added to the display image pool. Then, existing images from the photography step of the same work unit in the display image pool will be removed.

  • If a production type is reset or disabled, we will remove the images from the display image pool. When a production type is activated again, we will show the images again.

Outfit Display Image

You can manually upload an outfit image and it will be displayed within the Styling tab in the slide-in.

By clicking the eye icon or clicking directly on the thumbnail, you will be able to view the image in fullscreen.

Sample Display Image

The same logic from the Product Display Image will be applied with the Sample Display Image, the only difference is that this will be applied on a sample level.

Priority 0

File Imported via the β€˜Sample Display Image' property

Priority 0

File uploaded by the user in Gamma or Chroma

Priority 1

File comes VPI Production Images

Priority 2

File comes from Capture integrations (Orbitvu, Looklet) Production Images

Priority 3

End of Photography Step: Model Production Images

Priority 4

Last step of workflow: Model Production Images

Priority 5

End of Photography Step: Still life Production Images

Priority 6

Last step of Workflow: Still life Production Images

Styling Item Display Image

This will run on the same logic as the Product Display Image logic.
