This is the 4th and the last part of 'Client overview' article. You can read the 2nd part about the other settings in Editing client here and the 3rd part about assigning Data Source here.

This feature will become super handy for the Photography and Post production teams. It allows you to maintain consistency across your product assortment.

By adding alerts, your users will be notified when they work on a product where relevant visual references exist from your already produced assets.

You can add multiple alerts and sort them by priority. If your 1st priority filter has no match the system will look for a result from the 2nd filter and continue this way.

You can also share the reference file between clients by selecting the pool reference image.

Every time you work on a task that has matching criteria according to the rules, you will be notified to check any particularly important references to the previously produced assets.

You can set the rules for each step: Photography, External post QC, Internal post, and Internal post QC. In each step, you will have options to create the alerts if a product has the same Style code - Category - Product code or Job code. And then, you can narrow it down with the Production type as well.

For example, when a product that meets the defined criteria is scanned in Kelvin, the team will be notified that there are images they can access to review for consistency. These reference images can be downloaded and utilized in third-party software, such as Capture One, as an overlay.

Or in Internal post step, when a product is opened in Photoshop, the retoucher is notified in the HUE panel if there are reference images available. These images can be downloaded from HUE and opened in Photoshop.

Please note that in the E-comm module, if no Reference Image Alert rules are defined or the system is unable to find a match, the system will fall back to the same product category value to find the relevant reference images. Similarly, in the Editorial module of Creative Force, if no Reference Image Alert rules are defined or the system is unable to find a match, the system will fall back to the same project code value to find the relevant reference images.

Note:
When using Reference Image Alerts, the image will come from the respective step within the process:

  • Photography: Asset version is "Photography"

  • Internal Post L1 QC: Asset version is “Internal Post L1 QC”

  • Internal Post L2 QC: Asset version is “Internal Post L2 QC”

  • Internal Post QC: Asset version is “Internal Post QC”

  • External Post QC: Asset version is “Internal Post QC” OR Internal post L1 QC OR Internal post L2 QC
