Azure Blob Storage is Microsoft’s cloud object storage solution designed to hold massive amounts of unstructured data like text, binary files, media, and backups. With the Azure Blob Connector, Creative Force can sync large amounts of production data between the two systems seamlessly.
➕ Add On: Azure Blob is an add-on Connector. If you are interested in using it in your studio, please contact your CSM.
Enable Connector
Once the connector is available in your account, head to Studio Settings → Connectors → Azure Blob, and enable the connector.
Data Source
With the Azure Blob Connector, you can host product data in an Azure Blob Container. CF will sync that product data from it into the platform– on a schedule and on demand.

Delivery Location
With the Azure Connector enabled, you can deliver finished assets directly to a storage container of your choice.

Authentification Types
When using Azure Blob as a Data Source, there are two available methods you can use to connect it to Creative Force: SAS URL or Client Credentials.
Auth Type | Description |
Blob SAS URL | A simple single-field input that pre-authenticates a connection to Creative Force. |
Client Credentials | A more complex, multi-field input requirement that establishes more advanced security. |
🗣️ Tip: Depending on your permissions and familiarity with the technology/interface, you may need to request assistance from your internal IT Team or Azure admin to complete steps or retrieve required credentials.
Blob SAS URL
A SAS URL single, pre-authorized web link that already has permission built into it, letting our system access a specific container or blob directly without needing separate ID and secret credentials.
Required Field | Function |
Blob SAS URL | Enter the full SAS URL for the storage container (a shared access signature scoped to a single container). |
⚠️ SAS Permissions: When generating the SAS URL, it must include both Read and List permissions. 'List' is required so the connector can discover which files to sync under the configured path; Read alone is not sufficient.
Client Credentials
If your IT Admin requires a more secure connection type to your Azure storage, you can use the Client Credentials method. Together, these five pieces let our system securely prove its identity (Tenant ID, Client ID, Client Secret) and find the right location (Storage Account, Container Name) to read or write your data in Azure.
Required Field | Function |
Tenant ID | A unique code that identifies your organization's account within Microsoft's cloud system, so Azure knows which company's resources are being accessed. |
Client ID | A unique code that identifies the specific application (in this case, our data connection) that's requesting access to your Azure resources. |
Client Secret | A private password-like key that proves the application is who it says it is, similar to a password that only the application knows. |
Storage Account | The overall "container" or workspace in Azure where all your files and data are stored, similar to a top-level folder for your entire storage setup. |
Container Name | A named folder within the storage account that holds a specific group of related files, similar to a subfolder used to organize your data. |
