Manually applying updates to product requests and productions can be cumbersome, especially when updates are applied quickly in the moment to solve problems during production. Creative Force simplifies the process with logic that decides when and how Workflow and Style Guide updates can be automatically applied to relevant productions.
✚ Auto Apply Updates requires the Workflow & Style Guide V2 Engine. If you are still on V1 and have yet to migrate, reach out to your CSM to chat.
Introduction
While manual control is sometimes necessary to segment and individually approve what receives changes, there are many cases where studios want to have them applied automatically when meeting certain criteria. Auto Apply Updates is Creative Forces' integrated logic that does exactly that.
⚙️ Legacy Control: For studios that were onboarded prior to the feature's release (October 2026), a physical Studio Settings control will be available. For studios onboarded after its release, the effects are applied automatically.
Studio Settings
For some studios, which production updates are applied automatically is controlled via manual toggles. To get started, head to Studio Settings → Automatic Style Guide Update Settings, and look for the two individual toggles.
Which production updates are applied automatically is controlled via two separate groupings. In the table below, learn a bit about each.
| Toggle | Function |
| Backlog / To-Do Products | Style Guide Updates are applied when:
|
| Backlog / To-Do Productions | Style Guide Updates are applied when:
|
The legacy setting toggles can not be freely turned off once enabled. If for any reason you wish to disable the toggles after enabling, please reach out to the Creative Force Support Team to initiate a request.
Backlog / To-Do: Product Requests
When a style guide is published, products that haven't started (all production types in Backlog/To-Do) automatically move to the latest published version; their production types also dock the latest version when they start. No manual Apply Updates needed.
Backlog / To-Do: Productions
When a style guide is published, Backlog/To-Do Production Types inside Product Requests that are already In Progress automatically move to the latest published version. No manual Apply Updates needed.
In Progress: Productions
Productions that have been started and read as 'In-Progress' never have updates automatically applied, no matter which toggles you have enabled. If there are In-Progress Productions associated with your published changes, the manual application screen will appear for them to be reviewed individually.
