Happy Sprint Release Day! ✨

This release brings powerful enhancements to our new Workflow Engine V2, including expanded post-production control and smarter rejection flows. We've also updated a handful of our API responses aimed at improving Product Category updates.

Workflow Engine V2

Workflows are a key component in your Product's journey through Creative Force. With Workflow V2, we’ve made it even easier to create and manage Workflows that intelligently guide your content production.

A few highlights include easily building Workflows with our dynamic visualization tool, allowing studios to incorporate more customization and handle unique processes:

Studios can use Workflow V2 to create Derived Workflows which will create new, branched production requirements off of an existing Workflow.

Workflow V2 puts studios in control with improved logic and transition management, an intuitive new UI, and seamless integrations with the use of connectors and AI Cloud Automation steps.

Reject from Photo Review back to Final Selection in Workflow V2

We're excited to introduce a more flexible rejection flow when using Photo Review in your Workflow. Studios can now reject images from Photo Review back to Final Selection while preserving all existing selections from the initial Final Selection step - perfect for when you need additional options but don't require a complete reshoot.

This feature is available now for all E-comm customers using Workflow V2. Using the Workflow builder, studios can configure rejections back to Final Selection and/or Capture, depending on the need.

Key Features:

  • Choose your rejection destination: Final Selection or Capture

  • Preserve all original selections and positions from the initial Final Selection step

  • Access rejection details regarding rejected assets, reasons, and annotations

Configure Multiple Post Review Steps in Workflow V2

In this release we’re also happy to share enhanced Workflow flexibility by supporting multiple Post Review steps in Workflow V2. Studios can now add up to five additional Post Review steps (L1-L5) to accommodate complex post-production flows or create branched review pathways based on specific production requirements.

This feature is available now for all E-comm customers using Workflow V2.

Key Features:

  • Add up to five additional Post Review steps (L1-L5) to your Workflow

  • Each Post Review step is clearly labeled with its level for easy identification

  • Configure transitions and conditions independently for each Post Review step

This enhancement aims to give studios more control over their post-production process, enabling more sophisticated review paths while maintaining our intuitive Workflow builder interface.

Updated Style Guide Information in Gateway API Responses

We've enhanced our API Gateway to provide better visibility into Category Triggers and Style Guide relationships. This update improves how the API handles Category updates and provides more information about potential Style Guide changes.

As a reminder, updating a Product’s assigned Style Guide must be made through the dedicated Change Product Style Guide API.

Please see API details below:

PUT Update Product:

  • For Products in To Do or Backlog status, Category updates are processed normally. If a Category update would trigger a Style Guide change, the API response includes the new Style Guide details (ID and name)

  • For Products in In Progress or Done status, Category updates are not permitted, same as before

GET Style Guides:

  • Response now includes Category Trigger information for each Style Guide (ID and name)
