Dreem Connector

How to set up and use the Dreem Connector in Creative Force.

Written by Jameson

The Dreem Connector in Creative Force brings the power of AI-generated content creation directly into your production workflows. With Dreem's cutting-edge technology, studios can seamlessly generate Virtual Model imagery, Product Shots, Image to Video content, and comprehensive Content Kits.

➕ Add On: Dreem is an add-on that integrates with Workflow Engine V2. If you are interested in using it in your studio, please contact your CSM.

Getting Started

The Dreem Session subfunction opens an interactive AI workspace where you can generate multiple types of content from your product images. Dreem's advanced AI technology enables you to create professional-quality assets of different types.

Register App

To get started, head to Studio Settings → Registered Apps, then hit 'Register App' in the top right-hand section of the page.

Use 'Client Credentials' as the Grant Type, then fill out a name and description. For the 'On Behalf User', you will need to select a user with Admin Permissions.

Once you have saved the Application, the screen will refresh and autofill a Client ID and Client Secret. Save or copy these credentials for the next step.

Create API Key

In Dreem, head to your Dreem Dashboard and hit your user icon → Settings → API Keys. Create an API Key and give it a name, then select 'Create.'

Connect to Dreem

Head to your Dreem Dashboard and hit your user icon → Settings → Connections, then select the Creative Force Connection option, and 'Create.'

Fill in the credentials generated in the Register App step, and for 'Dreem API Key', select the Key you created in the Create API Key step.

With everything filled in, select 'Create' once more to save the connection.

Enable Connector

If you do not have your API Key from Dreem copied still, make sure to copy it to your clipboard once more. Then, back in Creative Force, head to Studio Settings → Connectors → and locate the Dreem Connector.

Select the Connector to open the pop-up menu, then paste in your API Key and hit 'Enable.' At this point, your Dreem and Creative Force accounts should be fully connected and ready to communicate your production data.

Dreem Tester

You can explore Dreem's capabilities by clicking the 'Try It' button from the Connector menu. This will open Dreem in a new window, where you can log in. You will then be directed to the Dreem.ai landing page.

📝 Note: Using the tester is available to all Creative Force customers at no charge and does not require you to add account details like an API key for use.

🛠️ Permissions: To use the tester, users need to be in a Role with 'View' or 'Edit' permissions for 'Connectors.'

Add to Workflows

As Dreem supports a number of output types and formats, it is recommended to use a Generative Workflow to support the outputs. To learn more about Generative Workflows, please see our dedicated article at the link below.

To use Dreem in your Productions, add a Cloud Automation step to your Workflow and select 'Dreem.' Then, select the Dreem Session subfunction to be executed at the step.

Final Selection

When your Workflow contains Dreem as a Cloud Automation Step before the Final Selection step, additional configuration options become available in the Workflow.

Configuration

Function

Executed By: Cloud Automation

Mapping assets to Style Guide Positions will be available in the Dreem Session.

Upon completion of the step, the Production will move directly to the next available Workflow Step after Final Selection.

Cloud Upload Experience

With some configuration combinations, you will be able to independently set the upload experience for Cloud Automation (Pre-Selection, Pre-Selection by Position. Learn more)

Cloud Automation QC

With a Cloud Automation QC Workflow Step added, you can review all Dreem-generated assets within Creative Force after completion of the step.

  • Compare input images with AI-generated outputs

  • Approve assets to continue in the workflow

  • Reject assets to return them to the Dreem session for regeneration

Style Guide Positions

When creating or linking a Style Guide for working with Dreem, please consider that Sessions require at least a Front and Back shot of the Product in order to generate images or video.

Because of this, it is recommended to have photography positions with this set as a requirement. Dreem can also read file names to determine and map Front and Back position shots automatically when loading in the Session.

Dreem Sessions

Sending Images to Dreem

When a task reaches the Cloud Automation step with Dreem enabled, images are automatically sent from Creative Force to Dreem and shown as a new session.

The Creative Force logo will be visible over the asset preview in the Session List, and a blue indicator will show that it is a new task.

In Dreem Studio

Within the Dreem Session, you will see that relevant information has been pulled from Creative Force into the session. Input images will be loaded into the chat interface, and assets will be pre-mapped to Dreem positions based on the filename or assigned photography position (Front, Back, Detail, etc)

From here, you can select a Content Type and generate output as necessary. For more information on how to generate content in Dreem Studio, please see the dedicated article at the link below.
