Upload Preset | A text string used as the name of an upload preset defined for your Cloudinary product environment. | |

📝 Note: Public ID supports all printable characters except for the following reserved characters :?&#\%<>. In addition, spaces and forward slashes (/) cannot be used as the first or last character of the Public ID.
Auto Variant Service
Using your dedicated Cloudinary instance to generate auto variants means, depending on your plan, you can output files bigger than 110 MB to successfully create auto variants.
⚠️ Important: Be sure to review your Cloudinary account plan details before setting a max file size, as you will want to make sure your plan supports the output size.
For more information on auto-generated variants, see our related article here.
To use your own Cloudinary instance to generate auto-variants, you will need to check the box in the connector menu for 'Use this connector for auto variant.'
With this setting enabled, you can set a Maximum File Size cap that is greater than the 110 MB default.
📝 Notes:
If you check the box ‘Use this connector for Auto variant’ and auto variants cannot be generated due to the file size limit, the system will not fall back to using the Creative Force default account.
If you check and then uncheck the box ‘Use this connector for Auto variant’ to use the Creative Force default account after Asset Delivery has already been completed, you will need to reset products back to Asset Delivery to re-generate the auto-variants.
