Happy Sprint Release Day!
We're thrilled to bring you more new enhancements designed to improve your team's productivity. This release includes updates to the Planning module, hyperlinks in our web and photography apps, enabling and disabling conditional production types, and more.
We're always eager to hear your thoughts, so don't hesitate to share your feedback. 🚀
Planning: Custom Team On Set Skills & Updates to Double-Booking Alerts
Studios with Planning can now create custom skills that match their specific team roles and control double-booking alerts based on skill type.
This feature addresses two key challenges:
Inflexibility of predefined skills
Unnecessary double-booking warnings for roles that commonly work across multiple sets
Studios can now create custom assignable skills like ‘Digitech’ or ‘Styling Assistant’ and determine if a skill can be double-booked on the Planning Calendar.
Note: custom skills are not yet available in merge fields, metadata, or file naming templates. This functionality will be added in future releases.
Hyperlinks in Photography & Web Apps
This sprint, we are introducing hyperlink functionality across our photography and web apps (Kelvin and Gamma), making it easier to reference and access external resources directly from Creative Force. URLs entered into free text properties are now automatically detected and converted to clickable links that open in new tabs.
Enable & Disable Conditional Production Types
We've enhanced the way you control production types when editing products, giving you more flexibility and clarity when working with conditional style guide rules. You can now easily toggle production types on or off, with a clear visual indicator showing whether a production type is following conditional rules or has been manually overridden.
Filter for Disabled Style Guides
We’ve improved the Style Guide filter so you can now filter by Enabled, Disabled, or All Style Guides across all relevant views. This restores functionality missing for studios who migrated from V1 to V2 and ensures you can still locate products and assets linked to older, deactivated Style Guides. Disabled guides are clearly marked, and V1 Style Guides include a V1 badge for easy identification.
This enhancement ensures workflow continuity during and after the V1 to V2 migration, removing previous gaps that made it difficult to work with disabled guides. Teams can now accurately filter and manage all work tied to both enabled and disabled Style Guides, reducing manual tracking, preventing confusion, and supporting a smoother transition to V2. Existing saved views remain fully compatible, ensuring no disruption to current user setups.
Support for Hue, Luma, and Ink will be added in upcoming releases.
