Happy sprint release day! We're thrilled to share the news on our latest release which includes enhancements to Planning Sessions, Copywriting Widgets, and more.

We value your feedback, so feel free to reach out and let us know how you’re enjoying these bi-weekly updates. Your input helps us continually improve in order to better enrich our users’ experiences. 💪

Client-Specific Sessions

This release brings the ability to assign Clients to Sessions, ensuring that sensitive information is accessed only by the relevant teams. This addition will be particularly beneficial for commercial studios and retailers with segmented client workstreams, reducing confusion and streamlining the on-set experience.

We’ve also adjusted our Session logic to limit visibility based on the Client of assigned production tasks. If a user doesn’t have access to any tasks assigned to a planned Session, they will also not be able to see the Session.

To manage Client-specific sessions at the studio level, navigate to the Studio Settings in Creative Force. Here, you'll find a new setting called "Session Client Control." This setting will allow you to control whether or not Sessions are restricted to a single Client.

For studios using our Gateway API, Client ID has been added to all session-related API calls.

Custom Content Widgets for Copywriting

Creating consistent and effective PDP (Product Detail Page) copy is crucial, but we understand how time-consuming it can be for copywriters to look up existing product descriptions and references.

With today’s release, we’re excited to introduce a powerful tool designed to streamline the copywriting process: Custom Content Widgets.

This new feature allows you to pull in content from any external source so that it can be referenced by copywriters right in Creative Force. For example, you can display existing descriptions from your PIM (Product Information Management) system right next to where your team is writing the Product Details.

The Custom Content Widget offers limitless flexibility by enabling the import of text and image content via API, so whether you need existing product descriptions, references to similar styles, or copywriting templates, this feature has you covered!

Editorial Due Dates Now Available in Kanban Screens

Now you can filter by Editorial Project Due Date and Deliverable Due Date in Kanban filter lists in both our web application as well as in Hue, making it easier than ever to organize and track your work.

“Asset Title” Added to Bynder Delivery Option Settings

Our release this week includes an update to our Bynder Asset Delivery settings which allows users to set the Asset Title, rather than defaulting to the file name every time an asset is delivered. This enhancement aims to improve control over asset management and enable studios to use preferred asset naming conventions in their workflows.

You can find this new setting in Studio Settings under Edit Client, within the Delivery Options tab. If the new "Asset Title" field is left empty, the file name will automatically be used by default, same as before.

Other Improvements

  • We’ve made an improvement in our sequence numbering logic in order to ensure that file names remain consistent across all workflow steps. This affects images that use sequence number tokens in their Style Guide asset naming fields.

  • We’ve optimized the performance in a number of different product areas including asset download in Editorial as well as our Box, Bynder, and Cloudinary connectors.
