Digital processing is an add-on feature that helps you make image adjustments to EIP files within Capture One prior to sending them to External Post. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to know more about this feature.
After you have this feature enabled on your instance, you can find this step when setting up your workflow. The digital processing toggle is under the Photography tab in your workflow. And depending on your preference, you can have this enabled on the production type you want.
After saving the workflow, this step will happen after Final Selection and Photo Review.
Setting up Digital Processing, you will have the option to choose how you want to proceed with the images for the production type.
All Selects: All images will go to digital processing
Case by case: The on-set team must ‘trigger’ digital processing for tasks in Kelvin. You will see a button to mark for Digital Processing in Kelvin.
Next, you will need to set up where you want to convert the files from raw to other outputs.
Digital Processing: The raw conversion will happen at Digital Processing step, you will have to convert the files in order to push them forward to the next step. You will need to install Ink to use this option. The expected outputs for this step are .JPG, .JPEG, .PSD, .PNG, .TIF and .TIFF
External Post Production: When the files are sent to your vendor, they will have to convert the files and return them back to you. If you select this option, it is not possible to skip External Post. The expected outputs for this step are .JPG, .JPEG, .PSD, .PNG, .TIF, .TIFF, .CR2, .CR3, .CRW, .NEF, .NRW, .EPS, .PDF, and .EIP
