Editorial now supports Video Deliverables in addition to Images. This feature allows you to manage video content within the Editorial module using the same flexible workflows, briefs, and presets already available for images, with a few key differences outlined below.

Prerequisites

  • Editorial add-on must be enabled on your account (paid add-on)

  • Video add-on must be active in your Editorial module

  • Users involved require the Videographer skill and permission to execute Internal Post (Video) tasks

Creating Video Deliverables

When the Video add-on is enabled, you’ll see a new Media Type property when creating or uploading deliverables. Deliverables can now be classified as either Photography or Video.

To create a Video Deliverable:

Go to your Editorial project. Add a new deliverable (via Upload, Paste List, or Upload Sheet). Select Video as the Media Type.

Once you’ve created a video deliverable, you can add Creative Brief Details, Presets and Workflows the same way that you can for Image Deliverables.

Adding Videos to Projects & Deliverables

You can upload videos to Editorial Projects and Deliverables in the same places you can upload images: in Project Images, in the Pre-Selection tab for a Deliverable, or in the Final Selection step.

You can also add images to Video Deliverables, but you can’t add videos to Image Deliverables.

Video Workflows

Video Deliverables have the same workflow functionality as Image Deliverables, and can be viewed in the same Kanban steps as Image Deliverables. The only difference is that Image Deliverables are opened in Photoshop with our Hue app, while Video Deliverables are opened in Premier Pro with our Luma app.

Luma

Video Deliverables with an Internal Post step are opened using our Luma app. Details on setting up the Luma app can be found here.

Once a Video Deliverable has entered the Internal Post production step, it can be viewed in the Luma app. Select ‘Open’ on the Deliverable task to open the task in Luma.

Once the Video Deliverable has been opened from the Luma App, the task details and assets will be shown in the Luma Panel in Premier Prop.

Once editing is completed in Premier Pro, the file can be exported back to Gamma and the next step will be available.
