This is your go-to guide for completing the second part of setting up your Copywriting Style Guide. Haven’t completed part one yet? No worries—click here to get started with the required initial steps.
Begin by selecting “Text Production Type,” then click on the first tab labeled Copywriting.
Create or Assign a Configuration
You have two options here:
Create a New Configuration, or
Select an Existing Configuration (if one is available).
A Configuration is essentially a blueprint. It combines fields and layouts that help copywriters see everything they need—images, guidelines, restrictions, and more. Once a Configuration is selected or created, you’ll also see how many Style Guides it’s currently applied to.
Need to tweak things? Click Edit to adjust fields and widgets, or use the Actions button for additional options:
Save as New Configuration: Duplicate the selected Configuration.
Rename Configuration: Give the Configuration a new name.
Unlink Configuration: Remove it from the Style Guide and assign a new one.
Note:
Conditional rules can be applied to the Copywriting production type within the Style Guide. Want more info? Click here.
Layout Configuration
A Layout is made up of fields and widgets. From this page, you can:
Add or remove fields and widgets.
Adjust fields and widgets’ sizes to make the Layout look just right.
When you’re happy with your Layout, hit Save Configuration. A compact version will appear in the Layout section of the Copywriting tab. Pro tip: You can have multiple Layouts within one Configuration, each with different fields and widgets.
Central vs. Local Configuration
When creating a new Configuration, you can choose between:
Central Configuration: Available across all Style Guides with the Text Production type enabled.
Local Configuration: Tied exclusively to the current Style Guide.
Need to switch? The Actions dropdown makes it easy.
Set up Configuration Fields and Widgets
Configurations rely on fields and widgets. To add a field:
Go to the Edit Configuration screen.
Click Add Fields > Create Field, and select a Field Type from the dropdown.
There are lots of different Field Types to choose from! Almost all of the fields will have the same below sections:
Settings:

Field Name: Name displayed in Creative Force
Delivery name: The field’s name when sent to a delivery location. All special characters will be translated to an underscore. More about file name and folder name rules here
