From time to time you may notice that despite exporting a new file from Capture One, the thumbnail in Kelvin does not update to reflect the change. The following article will cover how to ensure thumbnails are updating as expected.
The thumbnails are rendered based on the filename. When a file is originally sent to the Kelvin Watch folder, Creative Force will cache the data that we see in Kelvin from what we can see on the file in the folder. If a new version is sent to the folder with the same filename, the changes will not be reflected on the thumbnail in Kelvin as the system will still be reading what was on the older version of the file that we originally cached. To fix, you can update the thumbnails by exporting the image(s) with a new filename.
