Chroma is Creative Force's mobile application, focused on sample management and other functions leading up to the shooting process. From outfit building to complex scan flows, Chroma packs all the power of Creative Force right into the palm of your hand. In the Scan Tab, Chroma utilizes your mobile device's integrated camera to function as a powerful Barcode scanning tool.
Scan Tab
The Chroma app can fulfill many of the same functions of a barcode scanner while providing additional data directly from Creative Force. To get started, open Chroma and tap 'Scan' along the bottom menu of the app.
Camera Options
On the right-hand side of the camera view are a number of selectable icons that correspond to camera functions and other features for flexible scanning.

| Only appears if the device has an ultra-wide lens. |
| Default zoom level, always available with standard lenses. |
| Appears when the device's max zoom supports it. |
| Appears only if the device has a telephoto lens; you'll see 5x on longer-range telephotos and 3x on shorter ones. |
Auto/Manual
Automatic: the camera runs continuously and automatically detects/captures a barcode the moment it comes into view, no button press needed. If you're scanning lots of items quickly, Auto is usually the smoother choice.

In addition to the integrated icons on screen, depending on your device, other features and shortcuts governed by hardware and OS may be available.

| The camera in Chroma allows Tap to Focus with compatible devices. Simply tap the screen on the area where your barcode is positioned to shift the focus area. |
| Use the physical volume down button on your device to trigger capture in manual mode, rather than selecting on screen. |
Dynamic Lens Switching* | Depending on the model and hardware capability of the mobile device, Chroma supports dynamic lens switching when using the camera, and will automatically move to the related lens when within the supported range.

Scanning Barcodes
From the Scan screen, a number of different types of barcodes can be scanned, including: Samples, Product Requests, Locations, Outfits, & Containers. In order for the barcode to return an item, there are two requirements: The barcode must be in a supported format, and it must return a Creative Force Item code.

When the requirements are met, the UI will change to show that a supported item has been found. Regardless of the type of item, the UI will generally have the same options.

| Select the 'X' to close out of the match and scan again. |
| Scan an additional item, and create a 'collection' of items from the total scanned items. |
| Displays the returned matched item and its code or name. |
| If the item is a Sample, it shows a check mark to show it is already checked-in. |

| Displays a list of quick actions that can be applied to the item. |
