Once connected, the Creative Force MCP Server gives your AI assistant access to query data covering your live production data. This article describes each category of query, what you can ask, and what permissions are required to do so.
🧪 Open Beta: The Creative Force MCP Server is currently in Open Beta. Supported AI tools and available features may change. To share feedback or report an issue, ask your AI assistant to use the Send Feedback tool.
Article Overview
The MCP Server exposes your Creative Force data through a set of query tools, each covering a specific category of production data. This article walks through each category, what it queries, what permissions are required, and the kinds of questions you can ask your AI assistant.
Query Category
Creative Force organizes production work into distinct modules– primarily E-Commerce and Editorial. Each has its own workflow and permission scope. The MCP query tools follow the same structure. Tools scoped to a specific module require both an MCP permission and the matching module permission in Creative Force.
Shared resources like assets, samples, and planning sit above that divide and use their own permission scope.
Category | Function | Visit Section |
Production | Search productions by step, vendor, photographer, or location
Assets | Search digital assets by job, product, step, or time range
Jobs | Search production jobs by code, status, or deadline
Products | Search the product catalogue by code, name, category, brand, or status
Tasks | Search workflow tasks by step, status, assignee, or vendor
Samples | Search physical samples and track check-in status and location
Planning | Search planning sessions by team member or time slot
Feedback | Send feedback, report issues, or request features |
⚠️ Important: Please note that not all data categories are included during Beta; this means some types of information can not be requested at this time. We will continue to add more available query categories as the Beta phase continues.
Permissions
Each query category requires at least two types of permission: an MCP permission that enables the tool in your AI assistant, and a corresponding resource permission that controls access to the underlying data in Creative Force.
Under the MCP Server section of the user role permissions, the skills are broken down per individual data category. The levels of control are a binary choice between 'None' and 'Access.'
Control | Behavior |
None | When an AI Assistant connected to the user attempts to query the data category, the query will fail. |
Access | When an AI Assistant connected to the user attempts to query the data category, the query will succeed. |
Depending on the governing module for the data: Ecomm or Editorial, you may also need to allow additional permissions specific to the module.
Production Data
Search and filter productions by step, vendor, photographer, and location. Productions are the core unit of shoot activity in Creative Force– each represents a scheduled session with an assigned photographer, vendor, and workflow step.
Permissions
Each tool requires MCP access and the corresponding resource permission for each governing module (Ecom & Editorial).
Permission Type | Access Level |
MCP Permission | User Role → MCP Server → |
MCP Permission | User Role → MCP Server → |
Ecom Permission | User Role → E-COMM → |
Editorial Permission | User Role → Editorial → |
Example Prompts
"Which photographers have the most productions in progress right now?"
"What percentage of our jobs are currently in post-production?"
"How many of each production type were completed this week?"
Asset Data
Search and filter digital assets by job, product, workflow step, and time range. Assets are the digital output of your productions– the photos and files that move through post-production after a shoot. This tool gives your AI assistant visibility into what has been delivered and when.
Permissions
Each tool requires MCP access and the corresponding resource permission.
Permission Type | Access Level |
MCP Permission | User Role → MCP Server → |
Resource Permission | User Role → Assets → |
Example Prompts
"How many assets did we produce yesterday?"
"How many assets were produced this week?"
"Show me all assets from job JOB-2025-01"
"How many assets have been delivered for Product PCSC187B482C_200?"
Job Data
Search and filter production jobs by code, status, and deadline. Jobs in Creative Force group related products into a unit of work with a shared timeline. This tool gives your AI assistant a live view of job progress and deadline risk across your studio.
Permissions
Each tool requires MCP access and the corresponding resource permission.
Permission Type | Access Level |
MCP Permission | User Role → MCP Server → |
Ecom Permission | User Role → E-COMM → |
Example Prompts
"List all jobs currently in progress"
"Which jobs are due this week?"
"Show me all jobs that are overdue"
"What is the status of job JOB-2025-01?"
Product Data
Search and filter the product catalogue by code, name, category, brand, and production status. Products (also called Content Requests) represent individual items that need creative content produced. This tool lets your AI assistant look up specific products or filter the catalogue to check production progress.
Permissions
Each tool requires MCP access and the corresponding resource permission.
Permission Type | Access Level |
MCP Permission | User Role → MCP Server → |
Ecom Permission | User Role → E-COMM → |

"What is the status of product PCSC187B482C_200?"
"How many products are currently in progress versus done?"
"Show me all products in the 'Tops' Category"
Task Data
Search and filter workflow tasks by step, status, assignee, and vendor. Tasks are the individual steps assigned to team members or external vendors within a production. For example, photography, retouching, or quality control. This tool lets your AI assistant monitor task progress and surface bottlenecks across your workflow.
Permissions
Each tool requires MCP access and the corresponding resource permission.
Permission Type | Access Level |

"Which tasks are assigned to John Doe?"
"Show me all tasks that have been rejected"
"How many Photo Review tasks were completed this week?"
Sample Data
Search and track physical samples by check-in status and location. Samples are the physical items sent to your studio for photography. This tool lets your AI assistant track where samples are in the process, which have been returned, and which are at risk of delay.
