Hi there👋,

we had another exciting sprint and  I'm happy to share the release notes with you! The sprint was mostly about roles and permission to improve the management of users.

Happy reading!

Cheers

GAMMA

Managing Roles & Permission
Users are now able to create roles via the account settings. Once a new role is created the user can set different permissions for each page or setting in Gamma.
The available permission options are:

  • None - User can not see or access the selected page or setting.

  • View - User can see and access the selected page or setting but can not edit it.

  • Edit - User can see, access and edit the selected page or setting.

Assign Role to Users

Assign Skills to Users
In order to perform tasks in Gamma and Kelvin, e.g. 'create new outfits' or 'select final images', a dedicated skill must be assigned to each User.
Following skills can be assigned via the user settings:

  • Photographer - Can perform image transfer (Kelvin), outfit creation (Kelvin)

  • Art Director -  Can perform image transfers (Kelvin), outfit creation (Kelvin) and final selection (Gamma and Kelvin)

  • Assistant  - Can perform image transfer (Kelvin), outfit creation (Kelvin)

  • Outfit combination - Can perform image transfer (Kelvin), outfit creation (Kelvin)

Note: Without any skill assigned, the user can login to Kelvin but can not  perform any of the above mentioned tasks.

Migrate Color Reference (Recurrence Assistance Concept)
The first setting of the 'Recurrence Assistance' concept has been released to Gamma. When fully released Recurrence Assistance will provide the user with alerts and information allowing them address potential issues when importing a job, e.g. missing properties, duplicates products and categories not assigned to a style guide.

Checking the setting 'Migrate Color Reference' in the general settings, activates the saving of a color reference on product level instead of on sample level. This enables  uploaded color references to be used for every following instance of the product.

Additional features to support future functionality

Presets
Presets are part of the 'end to end' postproduction concept which will be launched within the next three following sprints. With presets the user can on client level define the criteria of the final assets as well as additional variants.
(How this feature can be used will be explained in detail once its released)

Internal retouch brief
The internal retouch brief is also part of the 'end to end' postproduction concept which will be launched within the next three following sprints.
With this setting, the user can add detailed description, instructions and example images to each style guide on order to brief the internal post production team.
(How this feature can be used will be explained in detail once its released)
