Style Guides dictate the rules on your Productions journey. In this article, we will review the 'External Post' tab of the Style Guide Settings and all of its available configuration options.

Getting Started

To access a Style Guide's settings in the list view, head to Production → Style Guide → hover over the selected Style Guide → then, click 'Edit.'

Or, in the masonry view, just click directly into it.

Select the Production Type you want to configure for, then select the 'External Post' tab. You will only see this tab if the associated Workflow includes External Post.

External Post Settings

Vendor Mapping

You can set up a specific folder path for vendor-provided images. Handy if you want to keep things tidy and know exactly where everything lands!

Setting Filenames

Enable this option to keep filenames from the External Post step. This will override the Style Guide’s filename settings for all later workflow steps.

Multiple Vendors

Use the dropdown menu to select a vendor. If you need the same configuration for multiple vendors, the Copy Mapping button is your time-saving friend—it lets you duplicate folder path tokens effortlessly.

Vendor Specific

Depending on the vendor/connection type, you may have different options available.

FTP / Box.com

You can customize folder paths to store assets. Add token fields or use “/” to create subfolders as needed.

Pixelz / Bright River

Map templates to specific positions using the dropdown. Just pick the right one and move on.

Map Variants setting:

  • Enabled: If the Style Guide requires variants, users must select a sub-template for each.

  • Disabled: Variants map directly to the main template.

Ghost Mannequin

With Pixelz, templates for ghost mannequins are visible only if the Production Type is set to Ghost Mannequin. Learn more.

A maximum of five images for ghost mannequin positions when working with Pixelz or Bright River.

Gateway API

Similar to using Pixelz and Bright River, you can select a specification for each position; however, this is optional.
