Forget to add a token to the naming structure? No problem! With Apply Updates, you can edit and apply new asset naming structures without resetting all your work.

Head over to the latest version of the style guide you’d like to make changes to and go to the Assets tab. Here you can adjust the Asset Output Name as needed:

Once that’s saved, you can head to the Style Guide page and select Actions > Apply Updates. Here you will be able to choose which products and production types need to be updated.

For example, if you only made asset naming changes to Mannequin, you can leave the On Model production type action as “Do Not Apply Updates”.

For the production type with changes, in this example, Mannequin, you can choose the following options:

  • If your production type has not yet completed Asset Delivery, you can set the action as “Apply Updates without Resetting”

  • If your production type has already finished the Asset Delivery step, you can set the action as “Apply Updates & Reset to Current Step”

Note: If you have made additional changes to your workflow, this option may not be available. See our Workflow Changes chart for more details. In this case, you would need to reset the Production Type back to Photography, which will result in a loss of work.
