Naming assets is an important step to manage your assets, and you can set up unique naming through Style Guides.
Part of the power of Creative Force is to use property data through merge fields to define the naming rules.
You can also use a number of system-defined merge fields to help with your asset naming. This article will focus on three of those which can help in case your naming needs to have some sort of sequential numbering.
They are:
Sequence Number/ Letter
Position Sequence Number/ Letter
Production Type Sequence Number/ Letter
Note:
The sequence letter will work the same as the sequence number. The letter will start from A -> B -> C according to the English alphabet.

Throughout this article, I will be using the style guide ‘Sequence number’ as an example. This style guide has 2 production types On Model and Flats. Each production type has 3 positions Front, Back, and Detail. And each position allows a range of 1 - 2 images.
Sequence number
The number in the naming will count up from the production type that gets produced first -> the order of the positions -> the order of the images within each position -> the second/third...etc produced production type if available.
For example, the product code is SH_RE02 and the product name is Shirt Red. The asset naming is Product name _ Sequence number [1] for both production types On Model and Flats.
If you produce On Model first, the first position has 2 images. The sequence number will start from On Model -> first position which is Front -> order of images in the Front position.

Note:
If a product has two production types, both are delivered to asset delivery and you reset one of them, the sequence number will count up from the existing production type.
I have reset the On Model for this example, this is why the sequence number starts to count up from the Flats production type.
Position sequence number
The number will only count up within the position, it will start over from the next position. For example, the asset naming is Product name _ Position Sequence number [1].

The number will only count up within the production type, it will start over from the next production type. For example, the asset naming is Product name _ Production type Sequence number [1].

Note:
For all three types of sequence numbers, you can start the sequence at whichever number you want by changing the number in the bracket.
Ex: Sequence number [1] -> Sequence number [2], to start counting from '2' and has only one digit. You will need to change the number in each position.
Ex: Sequence number [1] -> Sequence number [01], to start counting from '01' and has two digits. You will need to change the number in each position.
These are the asset names if you start the Sequence number from [2].
